About the Trust

Welcome to Woodnewton Academy Trust. Woodnewton Academy Trust is a small, multi-academy trust located in Corby, Northamptonshire.

Currently there are is Woodnewton a learning community within the Trust incorporating a nursery with two year old provision and a fully integrated Children's Centre. Both Academies are open 48 weeks of the year 8-6pm. On behalf of Northamptonshire County Council, Woodnewton Academy Trust manages Priors Hall a learning Community, a foundation school which opened in September 2016. Woodnewton a learning community hosts the Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian and Serbian Supplementary schools.

Each academy has a classic nurture group and Woodnewton’s is funded as part of the Local Authority SEND offer.

The Trust Team for Inclusion includes a Specialist Teacher for Vulnerable Children, a Speech and Language Therapist, a Behaviour and Autism Specialist and a Specialist Teacher for Emotional Learning. Also working across the Trust is a qualified, independent Social Worker.

Woodnewton Academy Trust is a strategic partner of the Maplefields Teaching School Alliance and the Pen Green Teaching School Alliance.

Woodnewton Academy Trust aims to build a community of prosocial, emotionally competent, independent learners.
